About

Laura Kreid, Right Angle Solutions professional organizer, Evanston, IL

Bringing organization and beauty to everyday life is my passion.

I have been organizing since I was five years old, starting out by sitting on the kitchen floor stacking my mom's Pyrex bowls and measuring cups as the other kids played with more conventional toys.

I moved my way up from stacking measuring cups to working at J. Crew and Ralph Lauren, as a retail merchandiser organizing and displaying beautiful clothing.

Most recently, I worked as a project manager partnering with clients to identify a business goal, create a plan, and implement the technical solution. It is the cumulation of these skills and passion that inspired me to establish right angle solutions.

Looking forward to finding your home solution,

laura kreid

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

  • I roll up my sleeves and do the organizing myself and bring in team members as needed.

  • I keep my work confidential.

  • I only take and share photos on social media (both before & after shots) if you agree.

  • You will make the final decision on what to get rid of. I may challenge you when we are editing your belongings, but you make the final decision.

  • I am product agnostic—I first try to utilize bins, shelving, baskets that you own before purchasing new. I shop at Container Store, IKEA, Target, Home Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond or online, depending on the project needs and budget. If you want to shop, I can provide a product list.

  • I work independently or alongside you.

ORGANIZING APPROACH

  • I identify the right solution for you. One size does not fit all—each home’s layout is as unique as the people and their belongings who live in the home.

  • I deliver functionality that looks good. We all have cleaning supplies, toiletries, paper towels, and laundry areas that are used on a daily basis. I make these spaces both functional and attractive.

  • I like to use a term that Gretchen Rubin, a best-selling author coined, “Outer Order-Inner Calm”. Keeping your environment organized and tidy, keeps you peaceful.

  • Organizing saves time and money - two commodities we can all use more of and we all try to spend wisely. When you create an organized system you can quickly find what you need and you won’t overbuy because you can’t find it. (How many times do you buy birthday candles or batteries, just in case?)
